Programs run after school and on weekends from October to May with summer intensives. Through Open Studio hours, our young artists experiment with new art forms, work on independent projects and develop their digital skills.
DreamYard
Art Center
We offer nationally-recognized programming across different art forms that include theatre, poetry, dance, visual arts, photography, video, music and audio production, fashion design, and engineering. Held at the Art Center, students access the arts, leadership development opportunities, and academic and social supports such as college preparation, social work services, and artist mentorship.
Digital Learning Programs
Digital Learning Programs provide young people with much needed access to 21st century technology and learning in areas such as graphic and web design, digital photo and video, music and audio production, and Maker design and electronics work. Dreamyard Digital Learning Programs include: Fashion, Beatyard, Dream It Yourself (DIY) and MovieMakers. We also host Open Studio hours several afternoons a week, where students use our resources and staff to work on independent projects and continue to hone in newly developed tech and art skills. DLP partnerships are open to partner schools and the community, and help integrate digital learning throughout our in and out of school programming.

Out of School Programs
Based on the core values of Empower, Create and Connect, the Out of School Programs work to build the next generation of artists and activists through artistic rigor, academic enrichment, and a commitment to social justice. OSP programs include: the A.C.T.I.O.N. Project, arts and community activism; the Bronx Acting Ensemble (BAE), theater and playwriting; the Bronx Art Collective (BAC), visual art and curating; and the Bronx Poetry Project (BPP), poetry performance and writing; Rhyme Factory, hip-hop culture and performance, and OSP Minis, workshops in theatre, visual art, and dance for children K-5 and their parents and/or guardians.
